This position will provide peer counsellor education services for women, and their male partners, accessing maternity services (antenatal or postnatal) in relation to safe feeding promotion and support and continuation of ART or PrEP.

Job Requirements:
- Community Health Worker trained in Home based care, safe feeding choices promotion, the basics of ART and PrEP and adherence support via individual case management or post-natal club model (depending on client load)
- Grade 12 qualification
- Training in Basic HIV and Aids, STI and TB (HAST), HIV Counselling, Adherence counselling, and finger pricking. ROTF support counselling. Adherence clubs. Certificate in Couple counselling, RTCQI, disclosure and pediatric consent is advantageous.
- Minimum one to two years’ experience as an HTS counsellor
- Other technical skills required:
- Knowledge of DoH HTS guidelines and protocols
- General knowledge of health education
- General knowledge of TB/HIV/PMTCT programme guidelines/counselling messages
- Counselling skills
