Data Capturer post available at Anova Health Institute
Anova Health Institute is looking to appoint a Data Capturer at the Health4Men (MSM Project) at Gert Sibande to provide support in carrying out data-related admin work, capture patient’s files, generate defaulter reports and compile monthly statistics.

Data Capturing
- Capture data (on a daily basis) of information acquired from all registers.
- Ensure that the information provided is credible and that there are no duplications.
- Ensure confidentially of patient files and information.
- Capture data completely, accurately and as prescribed.
- Provide updates and training on data capturing systems.
- Accurately enter M&E data in the provided systems such Tier.net or any systems provided either by Anova or stakeholder.
- Participate in on-going data management training.
- Maintain confidentiality of data handled.
Data Quality Assurance
- Assist the M & E Officer with quality management procedures.
- Assist in data quality assurance activities.
- Report problems relating to data collection to line manager as and when they occur.
- Monitor the type of data collected and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in testing data capturing systems.
Data storing and Backup
- Secure and maintain safety of all electronic and manual data.
- Ensure that data captured is saved or stored in the prescribed manner and run back up on a regular basis.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Represent the interests of Anova at all times.
- Provide reports to M & E Officer and Provincial Coordinator or anyone directed to by your line manager as and when required.
- Participate in audit verification as and when required.
Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- Grade 12.
- Tertiary qualification and previous experience in primary health care in RSA will be an added advantage.
- 2 years’ experience in data capturing and administration.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fast and accurate data capturing skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends when required.
- Good facilitation and communication skills
- Able to communicate in English and other local/region official language.
- Computer literate.
- Ethical behaviour
- Willing to travel as and when required.
