The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the operations and finance team during disbursement periods (student payments) and ad hoc support to the finance controller with any administrative finance-related matters.

Closing date: 04 July 2024

Location: Cape Town

Responsibilities (including, but not exclusive to):

  • Assist with reviewing and capturing of fee statement information submitted by universities pre-disbursement
  • Assist with reconciling disbursement payments with post-disbursement fee statements
  • Assist with invoice capturing, from the accounts mailbox to Hubdoc and invoice reconciliation.

  • Identify missing fee statements and populate a follow-up list for Office Administrator to action with Universities
  • Assist with creating donation invoices
  • Assist with monthly stock control of office consumables
  • General finance administration and data-capturing support

  • Google Sheets

What is required:

  • South African Citizen
  • Between 18 and 34
  • Matric, with B or A-aggregate in English
  • A tertiary education qualification (degree or diploma)
  • Interested in financial management (possesses finance acumen)

  • Excellent time management by working on multiple tasks, shifting priorities as necessary and organizing tasks and materials to meet pressing deadlines
  • Accuracy with attention to quality and detail
  • Takes initiative and copes well under pressure

  • Well-organised and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Google applications
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently and as a team player
