Position’s, primary responsibilities is to ensure reliable and timely reporting of financial information, and to support and advise the business partners in achieving targets/objectives in terms of achieving desired profitability and efficient use of working capital.

Job Description

There needs to be a strong focus on PnL, marginal analysis and variance analysis.

Ability to collect, analyse and use information to ensure Finance Function serves to corporate and business objectives through effective daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as well as excellent business support.

Position is fully accountable together with Finance Manager for compliance with PPG internal control requirements. PPG Finance Function is guardian of shareholders interest and assets. High level of integrity and strong personality is required to ensure there is no compromise from compliance to local laws as well as PPG corporate policies.  

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible together with Finance Manager for Monthly US GAAP Trial Balance reporting in tight deadline and local statutory filings
  • Being a business partner by delivering financial support and maintain good communication and relationship with local business stakeholders.

  • Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
  • Collect and analyse data about company’s operational costs.
  • Manage General Ledger and Balance Sheet
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Support inventory count.
  • Support budget and forecast.
  • Manage accounts receivable.

  • Manage accounts payable.
  • Support statutory reporting, ie vat and tax submission.
  • Support month-end reporting.
  • Support internal and external audit.
  • Support adhoc projects

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum qualifications:
  • Related finance degree and equivalent practical experience.
  • +3 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing/FMCG and/or Industrial listed company, preferably Multinational Firm
  • Fluent in English – Written and Spoken

  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks in a deadline-driven organization
  • Hands-on mentality: Act as an owner and deliver on commitments.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills to engage all stakeholders in the change process

  • Highly motivated, creative and innovative with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Used to work in a multi-cultural environment with multiple stakeholders
  • ERP / SAP and ELCB know how
  • Microsoft office package
  • Understanding of Accounting and manufacturing environment

  • Dynamic, intelligent, personable, hands-on self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, highly ethical with a strong work ethic.
  • Assertive, resilient, persuasive and diplomatic, able to function in a tough independent environment, handle stress and pressure and stand his/her ground when necessary.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Analytical with excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • High Level of knowledge in financial concepts and ability to read and understand Financial Statements direction

OPERATIONAL

  • Perform internal and external audit in the preparation of action plans to resolve identified weaknesses and ensure plans are implemented.
  • Assist with reconciliation of stock control deviations and costing.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the accounts records and controls and the preparation of the management / financial accounts including cash flow
  • Report on major fluctuations or deviations in plans or targets and actual
