The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting a qualified artisan with the day-to-day duties in a particular trade and will have sufficient relevant experience to perform the assistant work required.

Job requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
- N2 Mechanical Engineering Qualification will be advantageous.
- 2 Years’ experience in a similar position in a chicken abattoir will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of spiral freezers, conveyor systems, saxon sealers and ice packs will be advantageous.
- Forklift licence will be an advantage.
- A willingness to work shifts and overtime, incl. weekends and holidays where necessary.
Duties and responsibilities
- Will be the assistance to the Artisan with duties as may be assigned by the Artisan.
- Will assist the Artisan with work on spiral freezers, conveyor systems, saxon sealers and ice packs.
- Will be responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and sorting of the workshop.
- Must be available on weekends for maintenance work.
