Minimum Required Qualification:
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults) would be advantageous
The Appointee should:
- At least 2-4 years’ experience within the shaft maintenance environment
- Onsetters Certificate
- Blasting Certificate
- Medically fit to work in the specific business area
- Clear security screening record
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in required SHE meetings, interventions and campaigns
- Ensuring compliance to Mine Standards and Procedures
- Allocating resources and equipment according to priorities
- Communicating operational problems to appropriate supervisor or manager
- Inspecting shaft and installations for defects
- Ensuring the effectiveness of pipe and equipment installations
- Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders
