UNFCCC Announces Remote Strategic Communications Specialist Consultancy for COP 31 and COP 32 Youth Climate Champions
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has opened applications for an exciting remote consultancy opportunity for experienced communications professionals. The organization is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the work of the COP 31 and COP 32 Presidency Youth Climate Champions (PYCCs) and help elevate youth participation in global climate action.

Supporting Youth Leadership in Global Climate Action
Climate change remains one of the defining challenges of the 21st century, and young people have increasingly been recognized as key drivers of climate solutions and policy transformation.
Over recent years, the Conference of the Parties (COP) has strengthened commitments to ensuring meaningful youth engagement in climate decision-making.
At COP 26, Parties emphasized the importance of youth participation in climate governance. This commitment was reinforced at COP 27, where governments were encouraged to include youth representatives in national climate processes and negotiations.
A major milestone followed at COP 28 with the institutionalization of the Presidency Youth Climate Champion role, designed to bridge the gap between young people and climate decision-makers within the UNFCCC process.
