- Be entering post-matric studies in 2027.
- Have applied to or been accepted by an accredited public higher education institution, university, university of technology, TVET college, or public college.
- Meet the financial eligibility requirements.
- Have a household income below the annual threshold of R350,000.
- Current tertiary students must have achieved a 100% pass rate, meaning all registered modules or courses for the completed study period must have been passed.
SANParks has also indicated that academic merit will play an important role during the selection process. Furthermore, preference will be given to promoting participation among women, people living with disabilities, and designated groups.
