The research aims to investigate:

Rock Sample Selection and Analysis

The researcher will collect and analyse rock samples from geological outcrops and perform detailed mineralogical and microstructural investigations.

Advanced Laboratory Experiments

Experiments will focus on rock mechanics and rock physics to understand how geological materials respond to physical and chemical changes.

Numerical Modelling

The project involves developing and applying coupled Thermal-Hydraulic-Mechanical-Chemical (THMC) models to simulate geological processes and compare results with laboratory observations.

Geothermal Field Validation

Research findings will be tested against real-world geothermal reservoir data obtained from operational geothermal sites.

Scientific Publications and Conferences

The doctoral candidate will publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present results at international conferences, workshops, and scientific meetings.
