A Fully Remote International Internship

Two Internship Streams Available

UNICEF is recruiting two interns, each supporting a different area within Generation Unlimited.

1. Youth Engagement and Entrepreneurship Hub

One intern will support the Youth Engagement and Entrepreneurship Hub.

This role focuses on ensuring meaningful youth participation within Generation Unlimited programmes while helping strengthen entrepreneurship opportunities for young people.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting youth engagement strategies
Assisting the Young People’s Action Team
Supporting implementation of the Youth Centrality Strategy
Gathering youth feedback to improve programme design
Organising entrepreneurship workshops and mentorship initiatives
Supporting youth-led entrepreneurship programmes
Developing advocacy materials and digital content
Amplifying youth voices in global discussions

Interns will gain practical experience working directly on initiatives designed to empower young people and strengthen youth participation in decision-making processes.

2. Global Solutions Hub

The second internship position focuses on supporting the Global Solutions Hub.

This role contributes to strategic planning, programme development, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across UNICEF’s global youth network.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting development of learning-to-earning resources
Assisting UNICEF country offices with programme implementation
Contributing to Generation Unlimited’s 2026–2029 strategic planning process
Supporting country consultations and strategic reviews
Creating knowledge products and reports
Facilitating peer-to-peer learning initiatives
Supporting webinars and global learning events

This position provides valuable experience in programme design, strategy development, and international collaboration.

General Responsibilities

Regardless of the hub selected, all interns will participate in several important activities.

Research and Analysis

Interns will conduct research on emerging trends affecting youth development, entrepreneurship, education, and employment.

Research findings will help inform programme strategies and support evidence-based decision-making.

Participants will work closely with:
