As InPlanet grows, the Head of Carbon will help shape organisational structures, implement project management systems, and improve operational efficiency within increasingly complex carbon removal processes.

Carbon markets are becoming more sophisticated and highly regulated, creating strong demand for professionals who understand both environmental science and large-scale operational management.

InPlanet’s new leader will directly manage senior technical specialists within the carbon division, including the Principal Carbon Scientist and Greenhouse Gas Accounting Lead.

The ideal candidate is expected to have strong project management experience combined with scientific or technical expertise in areas such as environmental science, carbon management, geochemistry, or climate-related disciplines.

Applicants should possess at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field, while a PhD is considered advantageous but not essential.

InPlanet is also searching for candidates who can manage teams effectively, build organisational structures, and remain highly organised in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.

Experience in carbon markets, carbon registries, or environmental credit issuance systems will strengthen applications significantly.

The company additionally noted that Portuguese language skills or being based in Brazil would be beneficial due to the operational nature of its projects within the country.
