The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA), in partnership with the Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport and Services SETA, has officially opened applications for the One Learner, One Property Practitioner Programme. This initiative aims to empower 200 Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDIs) in Mpumalanga through a structured learnership designed to build skills and create career opportunities within the real estate sector.

The programme places particular emphasis on youth and women, reflecting the partnersโ€™ commitment to advancing inclusive economic participation and supporting transformation within the property industry. Through this 12-month learnership, successful candidates will receive formal training, mentorship, and practical exposure, preparing them for professional roles as Non-Principal Property Practitioners (NPPPs).

Programme Overview

The One Learner, One Property Practitioner Programme is structured to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Selected learners will be enrolled in the Further Education and Training Certificate in Real Estate (NQF Level 4), a recognized qualification that provides foundational knowledge of the property market, property law, sales principles, and professional conduct.

In addition to completing the qualification, learners will receive support in preparing for the PPRA Professional Designation Examination (PDE 4). Passing this examination is an essential step toward becoming a registered Non-Principal Property Practitioner, allowing participants to pursue careers in property sales, property management, and related real estate services.

The initiative aligns with national efforts to professionalize the real estate industry while creating opportunities for individuals who have historically faced barriers to entry. By combining academic learning with industry-focused preparation, the programme seeks to produce competent and confident property practitioners ready to contribute to the economy.

Learnership Benefits

Participants selected for the programme will receive several benefits designed to support them throughout the training period. The learnership runs for 12 months, during which learners will gain structured training and workplace exposure. To assist with basic expenses, each learner will receive a monthly stipend of R5,500.

Beyond financial support, participants will benefit from industry-relevant training, professional development opportunities, and preparation for certification. This combination of financial assistance and career-focused learning makes the programme particularly attractive for individuals seeking entry into the real estate sector.
