Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful intern will provide administrative support to the SHE Officer and Health and Safety team. Additional responsibilities include managing internal databases, supporting safety training administration, and maintaining safety registers. The intern will assist in monitoring compliance and reporting findings to the SHE Officer. In certain situations, such as incidents or emergencies, the intern may assist in managing site safety under supervision.

The role also involves participating in health and safety committee meetings, coordinating monthly safety meetings, and drafting toolbox talks. The intern will assist in conducting surveys, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Exposure to emergency planning and safety management systems audits will also form part of the training. This broad range of responsibilities ensures that the intern gains comprehensive experience in SHEQ operations.

Skills and Competencies
