The Finance Graduate will work closely with the Finance team and report directly to the Financial Manager, assisting with daily financial processes and record keeping.
Role Overview
The Finance Graduate will support day-to-day financial transaction management across multiple companies within the group. Responsibilities include maintaining accounts payable and receivable functions, processing transactions, and monitoring banking activities.
The role also involves raising purchase orders, responding to queries from creditors and debtors, and ensuring accurate documentation of financial records. This practical exposure allows graduates to develop a strong understanding of accounting systems and financial workflows.
Creditors Control Responsibilities
A key area of focus for the Finance Graduate will be managing creditor-related activities. This includes maintaining relationships with suppliers and ensuring all invoices, purchase orders, and proof of payments are properly stored and organized.
The graduate will assist in preparing creditor lists for companies within the group and capturing information on accounting systems such as Sage. They will also identify creditors for payment each month and help process payments accordingly.
Additional duties include onboarding suppliers, preparing creditor age analysis reports, and maintaining creditor master data. These tasks provide valuable experience in accounts payable management and financial reconciliation.
Debtors Control Duties
The role also involves managing debtor-related processes. The Finance Graduate will assist in maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring timely invoicing and payment tracking.
Responsibilities include preparing revenue registers, generating invoices using Sage, and sending them to relevant stakeholders. The graduate will also follow up on outstanding payments and monitor debtor age analysis reports.
