About the Role
The Programme Associate will provide direct support to the EUEPiN Director and team in implementing project activities. The role requires involvement in programme planning, administrative coordination, editorial tasks, and project report writing.
This is a full-time position offered on a fixed-term contract for 18 months, running from May 2026 to October 2027. The contract may be renewed depending on the availability of additional project funding. The position will be based onsite at the University of Lagos, Akoka campus, with opportunities for occasional remote work.
The role also includes local and international travel where required for project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Associate will assist with implementing activities related to climate change and health policy initiatives. This includes supporting programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building activities.
Additional duties include preparing and editing project documents, assisting in drafting technical reports, and supporting monitoring and evaluation processes. The successful candidate will also help organize meetings, workshops, and collaborative engagements with policymakers and stakeholders.
The role requires contributing to data analysis, research dissemination, and documentation of programme outcomes. Administrative support tasks will also form part of the responsibilities.
Contract Details
The contract duration is 18 months, starting in May 2026 and ending in October 2027. The role is full-time, with occasional flexibility for remote work. The position will be primarily based at the University of Lagos, Akoka campus.
Travel may be required to support project implementation, including participation in workshops, meetings, and stakeholder consultations.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the following or related disciplines:
- Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management
- Sociology
- Environmental Sustainability
- Public Policy
- Public Health
- Environmental Science
- Related fields
Applicants with at least one year of experience in programme or project management are encouraged to apply. This experience may come from paid employment or volunteer work.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong project coordination and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is required.
