Eligibility Criteria

The Digital Action Lab is open to a wide range of civil society actors. Eligible applicants include:

  • Civil society organisations, networks, movements, and coalitions
  • Individual activists formally affiliated with a civil society organisation
  • Underrepresented and marginalised groups, including women, youth, LGBTQI+, Indigenous Peoples, and grassroots organisations

Applicants must also meet the following conditions:

  • Be based in OECD DAC ODA-eligible countries
  • Work in contexts with obstructed or repressed civic space
  • Be actively engaged in democracy or civic space issues
  • Have some experience using digital tools for advocacy or organising
  • Demonstrate ability to manage grant funding and commit staff time
  • Be able to work and submit deliverables in English

Local offices of Global North-based organisations are not eligible.
