Remote Consultancy Supporting Gender Equality and Development

UN Women is seeking a Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Consultant for a home-based, part-time assignment. Key Responsibilities

The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Consultant will support programme teams in designing, tracking, and reporting results. Responsibilities include facilitating planning processes, strengthening monitoring systems, and ensuring quality reporting for internal and external audiences.

Planning and Programme Support

  • Contribute to strategic planning tools and documentation such as strategic notes and annual work plans
  • Support project managers in developing theories of change and results chains
  • Assist in designing performance monitoring frameworks and baseline surveys
  • Develop monitoring indicators, calendars, and quality assurance processes
  • Ensure alignment between donor-funded projects and strategic objectives

Monitoring and Reporting Functions

  • Draft and monitor monitoring, evaluation, and research plans
  • Coordinate quarterly implementation planning and progress tracking
  • Review partner and donor reports for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain data for corporate reporting and evaluations
  • Track programme performance against established targets
  • Support project budget monitoring and compliance with reporting deadlines

Knowledge and Capacity Building

  • Identify and share best practices and lessons learned

  • Promote understanding of monitoring and reporting responsibilities
