South Africaโs iconic Kruger National Park is opening its doors to ambitious graduates through the 2026 SANParks Graduate Internship Programme. This initiative provides a remarkable opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in some of the countryโs leading conservation, management, and administrative divisions. Selected interns will engage in meaningful work across various disciplines while receiving a monthly stipend ranging from R6,355.69 to R9,088.37, depending on the qualification level.
This graduate programme is open to South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 who have completed a National Diploma, Bachelorโs Degree, or Honours Degree (NQF 6, 7, or 8) at a recognized South African Higher Education Institution (HEI). The programme runs for a period of 24 months, providing participants with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting and gain valuable professional exposure. It is important to note that SANParks is not obligated to offer employment upon completion of the internship.
Locations and Placement Opportunities
Internships are available at various workstations within Kruger National Park, with some positions based in Skukuza and others in Phalaborwa. Prospective interns must indicate their preferred work station when applying. SANParks may provide accommodation within the park based on availability, but candidates applying outside their area of residence should be prepared to arrange their own housing and transportation.
