These roles are designed for professionals with expertise in ecosystem restoration, forestry, environmental management, or related disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Ecology, Economics, Geography, Rural Development, or related field
  • At least five years of professional experience in ecosystem restoration projects
  • Familiarity with at least one restoration method such as ANR/Enrichment Planting, Direct Seeding, Seedling Plantation, or Agroforestry Systems
  • Ability to provide quantitative estimates of costs and revenues
  • Working proficiency in English

These criteria ensure that selected consultants can provide accurate and reliable input.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following experience will strengthen applications:

  • Direct involvement in restoration projects in Africa, Asia, or the Americas
  • Experience in economic analysis or cost-benefit assessments
  • Knowledge of non-timber forest products (NTFPs)
  • Experience working with smallholder farmers or community-based initiatives
