Site Allocations

Selected candidates will be placed at operational sites in Gauteng and Mpumalanga. The allocations are as follows:

  • Gauteng โ€“ Booysens: Two boilermakers and one welder
  • Mpumalanga โ€“ Arnot: One mechanical fitter
  • Mpumalanga โ€“ Kendal: One mechanical fitter

These placements provide apprentices with exposure to different working environments and industrial operations, enhancing their practical learning experience.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the apprenticeship programme, applicants must meet specific educational and personal requirements. Candidates should have either a Technical Matric with Mathematics and Science or an N3 qualification with relevant trade subjects. A certified copy of the latest academic results must accompany the application, along with a certified copy of a valid identification document.

Beyond academic qualifications, Howden is seeking individuals who demonstrate strong engineering aptitude and a willingness to learn.
