Working closely with the Director of Operations, this position leads day-to-day financial management while strengthening internal systems to support a globally distributed team.
The role is particularly well-suited to someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong financial acumen and experience in nonprofit or philanthropic environments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Financial management is the primary focus of the role. The Manager of Finance and Operations oversees daily financial operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and budget tracking in coordination with YCJF’s fiscal sponsor. Additional responsibilities include maintaining financial dashboards, coding expenses accurately, supporting audits and funder reporting, and strengthening internal controls and documentation procedures.

In close collaboration with the Grants team, the role supports the accurate and timely disbursement of grants. This includes tracking grantee payments, maintaining fiscal sponsorship documentation, and troubleshooting operational bottlenecks related to payments and compliance. The role also supports the integration of financial data into grantmaking platforms such as Fluxx and Monday.com.
Operations and Systems Support

This includes overseeing vendor contracts, consultant payments, procurement processes, and maintaining organized records within shared digital systems.
