Championing Equality Through Strategic Visual Storytelling
UN Women’s mandate, grounded in the UN Charter, remains clear:
eliminate discrimination, empower women and girls, and advance equality in all spheres of life.
In the Asia-Pacific region, women often shoulder the heaviest burdens of climate change while lacking equitable access to technology, finance, and decision-making platforms. The EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies Programme, jointly led by UN Women and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), responds directly to these challenges. Its goal is to strengthen women’s leadership in climate action, expand access to low-carbon solutions, and promote gender-responsive climate policies.
Strategic communication lies at the heart of EmPower’s mission. High-quality multimedia outputs—ranging from documentary-style videos to animations and visual storytelling—serve as essential tools to shift public understanding, influence policy, and highlight real-life experiences of women driving climate solutions.
To support this transformative communication work, UN Women is recruiting a Multimedia Producer Consultant who can translate complex issues into accessible and engaging visual content.
