This full-time, fully remote position is open to candidates based in Kenya or any IRC-operating country.

⭐ Role Overview
The People & Culture Operations Officer will support the operational, administrative, and creative functions of the CRRD P&C Headquarters—which includes the CRRD Central team, the award-winning AMU unit, and the Emergency Unit.
This position is ideal for a dynamic, detailed professional who enjoys problem-solving, improving systems, strengthening internal communication, and creating efficient HR experiences across a diverse, international organisation.
The role spans administrative excellence, human resources coordination, data management, and digital engagement, ensuring that IRC staff worldwide receive timely, accurate, and engaging People & Culture support.
🛠️ Main Responsibilities
1. P&C Operations & Administration
The officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, accurate HR processes across CRRD HQ, including:
- Delivering full administrative and transactional support across departments.
- Completing HR documentation with precision, aligned with global policies.
- Coordinating with Country HR teams and HR Operations to resolve issues efficiently.
- Tracking and validating monthly payroll uploads across multiple regions.
- Supporting recruitment activities, from interview scheduling to documentation.
- Managing onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth staff transitions.
- Maintaining organised, secure HR files, templates, trackers, and shared systems.
- Updating the CRRD P&C Library with relevant tools, resources, and reports.
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely completion of HR requests.
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in administrative systems and workflows.
2. Coordination & Communication
To strengthen engagement and seamless collaboration across global teams, the officer will:
- Organise and host P&C meetings across time zones, including breakout room administration on MS Teams.
- Prepare well-structured minutes and track follow-up actions.
- Draft internal communication materials, including announcements and visual content.
- Design and maintain templates, surveys, and recognition tools for leadership teams.
- Manage and continuously update the Country Director Onboarding page on RescueNet.
3. Data & Analytical Support
Data integrity is central to IRC’s operational excellence. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting HR data management, verification, and reporting.
- Reviewing system data to ensure accuracy and alignment across dashboards.
- Identifying trends that can inform improvements in P&C processes.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate brings:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- 2+ years of HR or People & Culture operations experience, preferably within INGOs or global organisations.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal.
- Creativity and confidence using digital engagement tools such as:
- Kudo Boards
- MS Forms
- SharePoint
- PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Experience with HRIS platforms like Workday (advantage).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with global, multicultural teams.
- Familiarity with AI tools for communication drafting, analysis, and creative HR support.
- Understanding of ethical AI usage in HR, including confidentiality and data protection.
- Fluency in English (French is an added asset).
