Career Wise, in partnership with Komatsu Northern, has launched an exciting bursary opportunity aimed at supporting South Africa’s future STEM leaders. The Komatsu Northern 2026 Bursary is specifically designed for students from the Northern Cape—particularly those residing in the Gamagara and Tsantsabane Municipalities—who are pursuing qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at public Higher Education Training (HET) institutions.

In line with Komatsu’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and empowering communities, this bursary provides the financial support students need to thrive in high-demand industries.


Who Can Apply?

The bursary is open to students who are:

  • Currently in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study
  • Registered at a public Higher Education Training institution
  • Pursuing a qualification in STEM or related disciplines

While applications from across South Africa are welcome, priority will be given to candidates originating from and residing in the Northern Cape, with a strong focus on the Gamagara and Tsantsabane regions.
