Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:

- Strong foundational knowledge of:

Role Overview: What the Intern Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain IT hardware and software to prevent operational disruptions
- Support alignment with ISO/IEC 27001 security guidelines
- Identify system risks and propose innovative digital solutions
- Assist with documentation, knowledge management, and IT improvements
Technical Support Tasks Include:
IT Infrastructure & Tools
- Assist with the procurement, setup, installation, and maintenance of:
- Laptops and desktops
- Servers
- Printers and scanners
- Other digital devices
- Monitor the health and performance of IT equipment
- Assist with upgrades, system checks, and application updates
- Support networks, Office 365 environments, SAP, Payroll, and Windows systems
- Monitor internet connectivity and network stability
- Support the local area network (LAN)
IT Security
- Monitor communication network vulnerabilities
- Support implementation of GIZ’s IT and data security protocols
- Update antivirus systems and OS patches
- Maintain user access permissions and shared folders
- Assist with data backups and recovery processes
General IT Support
- Respond to user queries and provide remote/telephonic assistance
- Support incident management and IT emergency procedures
- Update hardware and software inventories
- Document configurations, server settings, and workstation setups
- Support IT projects and ensure compliance with internal IT guidelines
