About ESA’s Outreach Division
The Outreach Division within ESA’s Communication Department plays a vital role in shaping how the Agency engages with the public, the media, and partner institutions across Europe. The Internship Focus: AI-Based Digital Content Development
Under the supervision of the Head of the Outreach Division, the selected intern will contribute to the Metabox Project — a pioneering platform for immersive communication and engagement. The intern’s primary role will be to design and propose innovative promotional content using cutting-edge AI tools and 3D animation technologies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the creation of interactive content for ESA’s Metabox hologram platform (www.metaboxhologram.com).
- Developing a comprehensive plan for a new range of AI-generated promotional materials, including ESA-branded merchandising and interactive media.
- Researching and proposing suitable software and AI tools (e.g., higgsfield.ai) to enhance ESA’s digital storytelling capabilities.
- Producing short promotional videos, 3D animations, and holographic content for public engagement.
- Analyzing and recommending improvements to the existing Digital Human interface within the Metabox.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand alignment and consistency with ESA’s communication standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile
ESA is looking for a proactive and innovative university student, preferably at the Master’s level, who is passionate about digital media and artificial intelligence.

- Currently enrolled at a university (proof of enrollment required for the internship duration).
- Field of study related to communication, multimedia design, digital marketing, AI for media, or 3D animation.
Technical and Creative Skills:
- Familiarity with AI-based content creation tools and 3D modeling software.
- Strong interest in digital storytelling, space communication, and public outreach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, international team.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent command of English or French (both are ESA’s working languages).
- Knowledge of another ESA Member State language is an asset.
