About the Role: Learner Development Administrator

The Learner Development Administrator (LDA) will play an integral role in supporting TALA’s learner management, compliance, and administrative processes. The LDA will assist with implementing quality management systems (QMS), supporting learner management system (LMS) operations, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate standards.


Key Responsibilities

The Learner Development Administrator will be responsible for a broad range of functions, ensuring the seamless operation of TALA’s learning environment.

1. Administration

  • Support the updating and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare and compile commercial activity reports and maintain record-keeping systems.
  • Administer the Learner Management System (LMS), including learner activations, calendar scheduling, billing, event setup, and prospectus building.
  • Assist in distributing training materials and inventory across BNLE (Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini) regions.
  • Maintain up-to-date learner and training databases.

2. Customer Service

  • Provide high-quality customer liaison services, ensuring timely resolution of learner queries and feedback.
  • Manage relationships with training providers, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are upheld.
  • Support learners with registration, scheduling, and administrative inquiries.

3. Events Coordination & Facilities

  • Coordinate training-related events, workshops, and seminars, ensuring all logistics are efficiently managed.
  • Monitor and report on project progress using Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodologies.
  • Maintain and update facility management SOPs, ensuring training environments meet Toyota’s high operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following academic and professional criteria:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A NQF Level 5 qualification (240 credits or higher) in Education, Training, and Development (ETD) or a related field.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in training administration or shared services.
  • Solid understanding of ETD legislation and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) and TALA policies will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in customer service roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and SAP/SAP Concur.
