Empowering Africa’s Voices Against Gender-Based Violence
The I Am Worth GBV Ambassadors Program has officially opened applications for its Cohort 2, inviting passionate young Africans to step forward as advocates for gender equality and champions against gender-based violence (GBV).
This transformative leadership and advocacy initiative aims to build a network of empowered voices—individuals who are not just aware of the challenges surrounding GBV, but are also equipped to act, influence, and drive sustainable change within their communities.
As part of the program, selected ambassadors will receive leadership training, mentorship, and practical tools to design and implement impactful community-based projects. The journey culminates in the I Am Worth Summit 2026, to be held in Kenya, where ambassadors will graduate and showcase their transformative work.
About the I Am Worth GBV Ambassadors Program
The I Am Worth Initiative is dedicated to creating a society where everyone—regardless of gender—feels valued, respected, and safe. The GBV Ambassadors program forms a central part of this mission, designed to nurture emerging African leaders who are committed to advancing gender equality and social justice.
Through this program, participants will gain hands-on experience in advocacy, policy engagement, and social innovation. They will learn to mobilize communities, influence cultural narratives, and co-create interventions that tackle the root causes of GBV.
The initiative also provides a space for participants to connect with like-minded peers, mentors, and organizations working across the continent to end violence and promote inclusive leadership.

Who Can Apply
The I Am Worth GBV Ambassadors Program welcomes applications from individuals who are:
- Passionate about gender equality and committed to ending GBV.
- Residing in Africa and engaged in community development, advocacy, or social impact work.
- Creative thinkers and proactive leaders who can design and implement projects with measurable outcomes.
- Aged between 18 and 35 years, demonstrating leadership potential and strong communication skills.
- Willing to participate actively in training, online sessions, and the final summit in Kenya.
