Absa CSI Trust Graduate Historical Debt Relief – Apply Now

Learn about the Absa CSI Trust Graduate Historical Debt Relief Intervention supporting unemployed graduates with historical debt. Includes eligibility criteria, application deadline, and Feenix wraparound services.

Breaking Barriers for South Africa’s Graduates

Across South Africa, thousands of graduates complete their academic programs only to remain unable to graduate due to historical student debt. Without access to their qualifications, these young professionals face exclusion from the formal job market, limiting their ability to contribute to the national economy.

In response to this growing challenge, the Absa CSI Trust has launched the Graduate Historical Debt Relief Intervention, a targeted initiative designed to eliminate financial barriers for qualified graduates who simply need their certificates to transition into meaningful employment.

To implement this intervention effectively, the Absa CSI Trust has partnered with the Feenix Trust, a respected education funding organisation dedicated to connecting students with donor support and holistic development opportunities.

A Strategic Intervention to Unlock Economic Participation

The Absa CSI Trust recognizes that historical debt is more than just a financial problem—it is a structural barrier to national growth. Graduates without access to their academic records often miss out on job opportunities, internships, and career advancement. This programme aims to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to affected graduates.

Beyond clearing debt, the Trust has committed to supporting youth as they transition into earning pathways, partnering with the Youth Employment Service (YES) to connect eligible graduates to employment opportunities across various sectors.
