Join the United Nations Foundation’s Mission to Advance Family Planning: Manager, Grants and Compliance (Remote, Full-Time)

Are you passionate about global health, women’s rights, and sustainable development? The United Nations Foundation (UNF) is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join their team as Manager of Grants and Compliance for the FP2030 initiative. This is a remote, full-time opportunity to make a tangible impact on family planning programs worldwide.

About FP2030

Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) is a dynamic global partnership that unites governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, donors, the private sector, and researchers. Their shared goal is clear: ensure women and girls everywhere can make informed choices about contraception and lead healthy, empowered lives.

As FP2030 transitions into a locally led but globally connected Support Network, the organization has garnered support from major philanthropic foundations, with additional opportunities continually emerging. In this evolving landscape, effective grant management and strong donor stewardship are vital to maintaining operational excellence and ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently across a complex portfolio of projects.

The Role: A Critical Link in Global Health Funding

The Grant Manager will serve as a central figure in overseeing the full lifecycle of grants—spanning from due diligence and contract negotiation to monitoring, reporting, and close-out. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Grants, the Manager will coordinate with regional hubs, external donors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with donor requirements and alignment with FP2030’s strategic objectives.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, providing an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to contribute to international development from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Management & Compliance:
The Manager will handle the entire grants process, including conducting due diligence, drafting and reviewing contractual documents, tracking deliverables, and ensuring timely reporting. Maintaining detailed records in systems like Salesforce, the Manager will keep abreast of all donor requirements—whether from bilateral, private, or multilateral sources—and ensure internal processes meet compliance standards. They will also support budgeting, financial tracking, and monitoring to uphold fiscal accountability.

Funder Stewardship & Communication:
Serving as the primary contact for funders on grant-related matters, the Manager will coordinate high-quality communications—ranging from progress updates and reports to strategy discussions. They will prepare tailored dashboards, briefing materials, and reports, collaborating with FP2030’s Communications and Advocacy teams to ensure messaging aligns with organizational values and donor expectations. Tracking renewal opportunities and funding cycles will be key to maintaining ongoing relationships and identifying new funding prospects.

Internal Coordination & Capacity Building:
The Manager will facilitate collaboration between global teams and regional hubs, providing guidance on grant compliance and reporting. They will also contribute to internal knowledge sharing, helping improve processes and build capacity across teams to ensure the organization’s success in managing diverse funding streams.

Donor Landscape & Strategic Support:
Remaining informed about evolving donor priorities and trends in the global family planning landscape will enable the Manager to offer strategic insights and support FP2030’s fundraising and partnership efforts. They will assist in proposal development by providing data, performance metrics, and compliance insights.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for those holding a Master’s degree in fields such as Public Health, Public Administration, or International Development.

With 5–7 years of experience managing grants within international development or global health contexts, applicants should demonstrate a proven track record of ensuring donor compliance and managing complex portfolios. Experience working with bilateral and private funders—particularly in the global south—is highly valued.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and an adept problem-solver. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce is preferred, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits & Compensation

The UNF offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time, benefit-eligible employees, including:

  • Choice of two health plans (PPO or HDHP with HSA)
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • A 403(b) retirement plan with generous matching contributions
