Your Global Career Starts Here: UNFPA Internship Roster 2025 Now Open
For students and recent graduates passionate about making a tangible difference in reproductive health, gender equality, and sustainable development, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is announcing its 2025 Global Internship Roster. This initiative opens doors to internships and fellowships across multiple duty stations worldwide, offering a unique platform to gain invaluable experience within an organization committed to fostering equality, health, and human rights.
The Role of UNFPA in Creating Impact
UNFPA stands as the leading UN agency dedicated to ensuring that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. Guided by its strategic plan (2022-2025), UNFPA aims to accelerate progress towards the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The organization’s core focus areas include ending preventable maternal deaths, eliminating unmet needs for family planning, and eradicating gender-based violence and harmful practices.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNFPA emphasizes the importance of “building forward better” by recovering lost gains and advocating for women’s and girls’ access to sexual and reproductive health and rights. The 2025 internship program embodies this mission, offering opportunities to contribute to global efforts towards a healthier, more equitable world.

UNFPA fosters a work environment rooted in gender equality, diversity, integrity, and work-life balance. The organization actively encourages applications from women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, minority ethnic groups, indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and other underrepresented communities.
