The Heart of Operations: Supporting Impactful Work
The Operations team at WRI India plays a vital role in enabling the organization’s frontline programs. They work closely with donors, government agencies, partners, vendors, and consultants to facilitate seamless program execution. Their work ensures that program staff and researchers can focus on developing high-quality research, planning initiatives, and implementing projects without operational hurdles.
This diverse team encompasses functions such as Budget and Finance, Grants and Contracts, Legal, Human Resources, IT, and Facilities Management. Each function reports to the Director of Operations, who in turn reports directly to the CEO, reflecting the critical importance of operational excellence at WRI India.
Introducing the Junior Associate – HR Operations
WRI India is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join as a Junior Associate in HR Operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring a positive employee experience and smooth HR processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in HR, possess excellent coordination skills, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail.
What the Role Entails:
- Onboarding Coordination: Managing the entire onboarding process—from issuing offer letters and verifying documents to coordinating IT setup and welcome kits—creating a professional and welcoming experience for new team members.
- Digitalization & HR Dashboards: Digitizing employee records, maintaining organized cloud storage, and developing HR dashboards to track key metrics like diversity, promotions, and exit trends. These insights support data-driven decision-making.
- Exit Management: Coordinating exit procedures, conducting exit interviews, and compiling insights to inform organizational learning. Ensuring all exit documentation is complete and properly stored.
- HR Documentation & Communication: Drafting and issuing employment-related letters such as experience letters, visa documents, and contracts. Managing employee ID cards and maintaining accurate records of all employee communications.
- HR Records & Compliance: Keeping HR files current and audit-ready, sharing periodic MIS reports, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Maintaining HRIS systems like ADP and Workday with accuracy and in real time.
What is Needed:
- A graduate degree or MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant HR experience.
- Strong coordination skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with HR management platforms such as ADP or Workday.
- Ability to analyze data, create dashboards, and generate insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
Additional Details:
- Location: Mumbai, India
- Duration: One-year term, with the possibility of extension based on performance
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Compensation: Between ₹7,50,000 and ₹9,40,000 INR per annum, with a comprehensive benefits package
