UNFPA 2025 Global Internships for Freshers and Students

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, has unveiled its 2025 Global Internship Roster, offering aspiring professionals a unique chance to contribute to critical global development initiatives. Designed as a pathway for emerging talent to gain hands-on experience within the UN system, these internships are open to students and recent graduates eager to support UNFPA’s mission of ensuring that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.

About the Internship Opportunities

The 2025 internship program encompasses a variety of roles across multiple duty stations worldwide. These internships are structured as short-term engagements, providing valuable exposure to international development work in areas such as sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, youth empowerment, and policy formulation. The program aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to health, gender equality, and human rights.

How Interns Can Make a Difference

UNFPA’s strategic plan for 2022-2025 emphasizes three transformative results: ending preventable maternal deaths, ending unmet need for family planning, and ending gender-based violence and harmful practices. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute directly to these goals by supporting programs, research, advocacy, and operational activities at the intersection of development and human rights.

Interns will work alongside dedicated professionals, engaging in meaningful tasks such as data collection and analysis, policy development, awareness campaigns, and program implementation. Their contributions will help accelerate progress toward the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) commitments and the SDGs, especially in the context of recovering from the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
