The Role of the Project Officer
The Project Officer is a vital frontline position responsible for implementing community-level activities that support the overarching goals of the GRASP-UHC project. Based in Occidental Mindoro, the role involves both fieldwork and stakeholder engagement, requiring a proactive individual with a deep understanding of community dynamics and public health principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Implementation: Collaborate with project specialists to ensure activities are delivered effectively and align with best public health practices. The Project Officer will oversee the implementation of community interventions designed to improve healthcare access.
- Participatory Analysis: Lead participatory situational analyses and consultations within communities. This involves engaging residents, particularly women and marginalized groups, to identify health challenges and co-develop solutions through gender-responsive lenses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Mobilize and facilitate the active participation of diverse stakeholders, including local government units, healthcare workers, community leaders, and civil society organizations. Ensuring their meaningful involvement throughout project phases is crucial.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of community development principles, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and health systems strengthening. Knowledge of gender equality, children’s rights, and inclusive health governance is highly valued.
Proficiency in computer applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams are necessary. Willingness to conduct extensive fieldwork in remote project areas is also a key requirement.
