About the Role

This part-time, hourly-paid role is ideal for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners and eager to gain hands-on experience in an international educational environment. The Young Learner Assistant will work closely with teachers to support classroom activities, supervise children during breaks, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students, parents, guardians, and visitors.

Key responsibilities include assisting teachers during lessons, supervising children during pick-up and drop-off times, and maintaining the safety protocols by managing identification badges for students and visitors. The assistant will also play a vital role in safeguarding young learners by adhering to health, safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Working Hours & Schedule

The position requires a commitment of at least 16 hours per week, spread across at least four shifts. The ideal candidate must be available on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and be flexible to work on weekends as needed. Who Is the Ideal Candidate?

  • Contract type: Indefinite, hourly-paid position.
  • Minimum commitment: The job holder should be able to work with the British Council for at least one year or longer.
