World Vision Lebanon is actively hiring for a Project Coordinator position based in Ferzol, Lebanon. This full-time role offers a chance for a skilled development professional to lead impactful initiatives in the Bekaa region, particularly focusing on food security, nutrition, and livelihoods. Position Overview
The Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and management of community-based projects. Their primary responsibility will be to coordinate field activities, manage partnerships, and oversee project progress in alignment with donor standards and organizational policies. They will serve as a key link between local communities, government agencies, and international partners, fostering collaboration, building capacity, and ensuring sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Management: Oversee daily project activities, including logistics, community engagement, and beneficiary liaison. Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope, adhering to technical and donor requirements.
- Planning & Implementation: Develop detailed work plans, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are maintained across all interventions. Facilitate community meetings and coordinate with technical and MEAL teams for effective evidence collection and analysis.
- Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with local authorities, NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders. Conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement activities to foster cooperation and sustainability.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly update project management tools, prepare high-quality narrative reports, and ensure timely submission of activity and indicator tracking reports. Lead evaluations to measure project impact and document lessons learned.
- Capacity Building: Conduct capacity assessments of partners and organize training sessions to enhance local partner capabilities. Support partner organizations in implementing project activities according to standards.
- Advocacy & Representation: Represent World Vision Lebanon in sector working groups and community forums. Advocate for community needs and ensure that project activities align with national development goals.
- Staff Management & Support: Recruit, supervise, and coach project staff and volunteers. Conduct performance reviews and facilitate capacity-building initiatives to strengthen team effectiveness.
- Safeguarding & Security: Uphold child protection and safeguarding policies. Ensure staff and beneficiary safety, report incidents promptly, and contribute to a positive security culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- A university degree in Nutrition, Agriculture, Development Studies, Business Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in livelihoods, food security, or nutrition sectors.
- Proven experience working with local partners and building their capacity.
- Strong understanding of the Bekaa context, including Baalbeck and Hermel regions.
- Knowledge of Sphere standards and experience in emergency response settings.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
