About UNICEF:

UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund. Our mission is to champion the rights of every child, everywhere, especially the most disadvantaged. We work in challenging environments across 190 countries and territories to save lives, defend rights, and help children reach their full potential. Our core values are Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Accountability, and Sustainability (CRITAS).

A fundamental aspect of UNICEF’s work is the equity strategy, which focuses on reaching the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families. This commitment ensures that all children have an equal opportunity to survive, develop, and thrive, free from discrimination. Investing in the health, education, and protection of these children not only empowers them but also contributes to the sustained growth and stability of nations. This focus on equity is crucial for accelerating progress towards realizing the human rights of all children, as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
