About the Internship Opportunity

You are invited to apply to the ILO’s generic internship roster, which is published twice per year. This roster serves as a pool of qualified candidates that all ILO departments and field offices can access. Once the roster is active, departments will review applications and select suitable candidates directly for their specific internship opportunities. Due to the high volume of applications, the ILO does not provide individual updates regarding application status. Candidates are encouraged to reapply if they remain eligible and interested in future opportunities.

Benefits of the Internship Program

The ILO Internship Programme offers a valuable platform for you to:

  • Deepen your understanding of key issues at the international level by engaging directly in the Office’s work and learning about ILO principles, programmes, and strategies.
  • Gain practical, hands-on experience relevant to your field of study, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful projects.

Eligibility and Application Guidelines

  • You may apply to a maximum of three internship profiles; exceeding this limit will result in automatic disqualification.
  • All applications must include a cover letter. Uploading a CV or résumé is not accepted; ensure that your cover letter is the only attachment.
  • You can withdraw your application at any time through the “Jobs Applied” section of your profile.
  • The application deadline must be strictly observed; late applications will not be considered.
  • Applicants should not expect employment at the end of the internship period.
  • If you are unable to complete your online application due to a disability, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Special Focus on Diversity and Inclusion

The ILO values diversity and is committed to promoting equal opportunities. This internship specifically targets candidates with disabilities, as part of our disability-dedicated initiatives.
