About the Job: Data Collectors Needed in Bekaa
DRC Lebanon is currently seeking diligent and detail-oriented Data Collectors to bolster its humanitarian response efforts. This role is essential for gathering accurate, reliable data from humanitarian workers and community members through online surveys and interviews. The Data Collectors will primarily conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) surveys, an important tool for assessing the effectiveness and impact of aid interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection: Conduct interviews and surveys with beneficiaries, community members, or humanitarian workers, ensuring adherence to established protocols and methodologies.
- Data Entry and Management: Enter collected data into databases and spreadsheets accurately. Maintain organized records and perform regular data quality checks to identify and correct errors.
- Liaison with Accountability Officer: Address any complaints or issues raised during data collection, sharing relevant information promptly with the Accountability Officer for proper follow-up.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Uphold ethical standards, ensuring the privacy and security of sensitive information in line with organizational policies.
About You: The Ideal Candidate
DRC is looking for candidates who bring at least one year of relevant work experience in NGOs, private sector organizations, or humanitarian settings. Prior experience in data collection or research activities is highly desirable.
Qualifications include:
- Experience in data collection, research, or related activities, preferably within humanitarian contexts.
- Familiarity with data entry tools and database management is a plus.
- A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, data science, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and proficiency in the local language.
