Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do
The Nutrition Research Intern will engage in a blend of desk and systematic review processes, which aim to gather and analyze critical data related to malnutrition prevention and food-based approaches (FBA). Here are the primary responsibilities:
Desk and Systematic Review:
- Information Gathering: The intern will identify credible information sources and develop effective search strategies utilizing databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and organizational websites relevant to food-based approaches and malnutrition prevention.
- Material Review: They will retrieve and systematically review materials, conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses from peer-reviewed journals using software tools such as SPSS and Excel.
- Synthesis and Documentation: This role involves synthesizing the gathered findings, evaluating the credibility of sources, and maintaining a comprehensive documentation process of the review.
- Reporting: Interns will need to communicate results in a detailed report, which will include evidence, gaps in research, actionable recommendations, and an inventory of available tools for stakeholders.

Quantitative Data Analysis for Positive Deviance/Hearth (PDH) Program:
- Data Cleaning: Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the intern will clean quantitative data for the Positive Deviance/Hearth program.
