Unilever is currently holding a vacant post for Packaging Warehouse and Raw Material Inspection Internship based in Johannesburg, Gauteng

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Purpose of the Role:
To assist with the quality assurance service to the business in order to ensure that products produced by the company are fit for use by the consumers according to Company’s specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incoming Raw and packaging material inspection (Checking batches for conformity and adherence to specification)_
- Management of Raw and packaging material documentation and filling (Supplier COA)- Review COA against SAP PLM spec
- Incoming Raw and packaging material sampling as per sampling plan.
- Sending micro samples to the lab and analysis for high risk packaging material
- Raising SNCR and QEWO non conformances/ deviations identified during reception
- Update SNCR tracker, follow up on outstanding responses
- Releasing of finish product stock
- Releasing and blocking of RM physically and on SAP
- checking stock allocation to correct slots (Allergen management)
- Check material before issuing to line side
- Check line side returns (Labelling and all info), hold production accountable.
- Checking housekeeping of inbound
- Hotmeltand chill store inspection
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 as well as any Degree or Diploma in the following disciplines:
- Life and environmental sciences
- Packaging technology, Food technology, Microbiology, Zoology, Environmental Management system, Industrial Engineering, Analytical chemistry, or Biochemistry will have an added advantage.
