(Internship position: 12 Month Contract)
The intention is to give practical work experience to graduates who are in their last year of study and require exposure in a work environment. Successful interns will be expected to complete a 12-month contract commencing February 2025 and terminating in January 2026.
This post is based in Goodwood, Cape Town
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provide an efficient and on time response to inbound calls and to process orders so that customer needs are met
- Answer calls in line with set standards to resolve customer queries
- Handle customer call courteously, efficiently, and promptly
- Receive product training to be able to promote products to customers
- Follow up with internal teams on customer queries
- Provide 1st line support on digital products
- Communicate progress of queries to customer
- Provide requested documentation to customer e.g., backorder reports, proof of deliveries, price lists etc.
- Gain exposure to and develop an understanding of:
- The educational publishing industry
- The customer service environment
- OUPSA product
- Supply chain, warehouse and distribution processes
- Database maintenance
- Data capturing
- SAP, MS Office
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field
- Experience in a call centre or customer care role will be an advantage
- Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- South African citizen
- Access to reliable transport
