- Duties and Responsibilities
- Full settlement process
- Full onboarding process
- Booking trades at end of day (local and offshore bookings)
- Taking in and sending overdrafts (OD’s)
- Matching all 3rd party trade aways for Prime Broking accounts
- Reconciliation reports
- Matching and checking previous day’s bookings
- Morning reporting
- Client and administrators queries
- Booking and settling bonds
- Updating unit trust / unlisted positions from 3rd parties
- Ideal Experience
- This is a graduate position thus no experience necessary.
Ideal Qualifications
Any commerce degree majoring in accounting, economics, investments, finance, business management or the like.
JSE and RPE exams (willing to complete the following sponsored exams):
- Introduction to Financial Markets (RPE)
- Regulations and Ethics of the South African Financial Markets (RPE)
- Equity Market (RPE)
- JSE Equity Settlement Officer
- Most Important Attribute
- Ability to be accurate and function positively under pressure
- Must be solutions driven
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility with working hours based on financial markets operational requirements
- Systems Knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite
