BankservAfrica is hiring a Junior Designer

As a Junior Designer at BankservAfrica, you will be responsible for supporting the design team in creating visually compelling and on-brand materials.

This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including marketing teams, to produce graphics, layouts, and other design assets.

The Junior Designer contributes to maintaining a consistent and appealing visual identity for BankservAfrica across diverse channels. The purpose of the Junior Designer role at BankservAfrica is to support the design team in creating visually appealing and brand-consistent materials.

The Junior Designer plays a key role in contributing to the overall visual identity of BankservAfrica, collaborating with various stakeholders to execute design projects. While learning from experienced designers, the junior designer helps maintain consistency in design elements, assists in project execution, and supports the broader marketing and communication goals of BankservAfrica. 

You will engage with the following stakeholders:
• Senior Designers: Collaborate with senior designers to receive guidance, feedback, and support on design projects.

• Marketing Teams: Work closely with marketing teams to understand design requirements for various campaigns and initiatives.
• Content Creators: Collaborate with writers and content creators to integrate text and visual elements in design projects.
• Product Teams: Coordinate with product teams to incorporate product-related visuals in marketing materials.

Your key responsibilities include:

Graphic Design:
• Assist in the creation of graphic elements for marketing materials, digital content, and corporate communications.
• Produce visually appealing layouts, illustrations, and other design assets.
• Assist with stock image and icon library management.
• Formatting and designing of PowerPoint presentations for external publication in accordance with corporate brand standards.

• Work closely with senior designers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to design projects.

Brand Consistency:
• Ensure consistency in design elements across various platforms and materials.
• Adhere to established brand guidelines and contribute to the evolution of the brand’s visual identity.

Project Support:
• Support the design team in executing various design projects, including presentations, brochures, social media graphics, and website visuals.
• Assist in managing design assets and organizing files for easy retrieval.

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, adobe acrobat).

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. 
• Basic understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Knowledge of digital design trends and best practices.

• 2-3 years’ relevant experience  
• 2-3 years’ experience print and digital design
• Portfolio showcasing design skills and creative projects.
• Familiarity with design processes and workflow
