Parts Counter Salesman wanted Bell Equipment

Applications for the above position are invited from suitably qualified interested parties.  However, permanent team members will be considered in the first instance.

Location: Cape Town


  • Travel within and across provinces to locate, identify and meet with new customers.
  • Build relationships and promote parts sales to these potential customers.
  • Create accurate quotations follow up and motivate sales on them.

  • Understand the machines well enough to offer preventative maintenance advice.
  • Maintain & expedite customer back orders and feedback to customers.
  • Strive to meet the set sales targets & budgets.
  • Follow through on leads and referrals passed on by internal/external sources.
  • Create a customer index to record the details of all customers located and or visited.

  • Complete and share all customer visit reports with management.
  • Strategize with management on ways to overcome sales challenges identified in the field.
  • Attend to customer and debtor queries without delays.
  • Filing of all parts related documents and customer orders.

  • Assist management and team members as and when required.
  • Ensure vehicle is well kept and maintained as per the service and repair indications.
  • General house keeping.
  • Provide after-hours services as and when required.
  • Work overtime as and when required.


  • Matric Certificate or ABET L4 qualification. 
  • Minimum of 2 years parts sales experience in the Earthmoving industry.
  • Good knowledge of electronic parts catalogues and the AS400 and SAP operating systems.

  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Be of sober habits.
  • Travel long hours or distances and stay over in other towns as and  when required to.
  • Work well under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent verbal,  telephonic and computer skills.
  • Good command of English language both written and oral ( additional languages will be an added advantage).
  • Valid code 8 driver’s license.
