Role Clarification & Key Performance Areas

The Division for Student Development and Support (SDS) plays a leading role in creating a holistically focused, enabling environment and provides excellent opportunities for students to develop to their full potential as active scholars and responsive citizens in South Africa.

Applicants must be client-service orientated and passionate about supporting the organisation’s strategies with regards to their students and their co-curriculum development and well-being.

The successful candidate, reporting to the Coordinator: Placement, will have the responsibility to interact directly with students, service telephone calls and resolve student queries.


  • Service the front desk of the Business Administration and Placement office;
  • Student advisory services;
  • Contribute towards team action;
  • Assist with extracting necessary data as required by Residential Services managers;
  • Committee Administration.

Minimum requirements

  • A relevant post-matric qualification or NQF level 6;
  • A  minimum of two (2) to five (5) years experience, preferably within higher education

Required Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Strong client-service orientation skills;
  • Proven experience in minute taking.
