INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Samancor Chrome Ltd is recruiting and invites suitably qualified professionals to apply for the Basic Metals Production Skills Programme 2024.

Samancor Chrome’s core business is the mining and smelting of chrome ore.

The company’s history goes back as far as 1975, when it was established as a listed entity on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, as a result of a merger between SA Manganese Ltd and Amcor Ltd. 

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Training 

  • Basic Production Skills training and will run for a period of 6 months. Candidates will attend both practical and theory and on successful completion of the programme receive a certificate.
  • An allowance will be payable whilst on the programme.
  • Training will be conducted through SETA accredited training provider

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 / N3
  • Mathematics & Physical Science / Engineering Science with minimum 60%
  • Certified proof of qualification to be attached
  • Will undergo a medical examination
  • Will be required to undergo a psychometric assessment, hand-eye foot coordination test
  • Applicant must be from Middelburg – proof to be attached

ADVANTAGEOUS

  • Valid Driver’s License (minimum B/ Code 8)
  • Basic Computer Literacy
