ABOUT SANBONA WILDLIFE RESERVE
Sanbona is one of South Africa’s largest privately-owned nature reserves, stretching across 58 000 hectares of rich protected ecosystems within two biodiversity hotspots.
This vast track of land in the Little Karoo outside Montagu, a mere 3.5 hours drive from Cape Town along Route 62, is owned by a non-profit company focused on steering conservation to the forefront of the safari experience.
Sanbona offers an authentic and contrasting natural space, striving to create a balance where critically important ecosystems, endangered wildlife and flora can prosper for the benefit of future generations.
Sanbona offers four different accommodation options, each with their own distinctive style and appeal. Spend the day exploring every corner of this immense reserve, endless open plains and sculpted Cape fold mountains adorned with San rock art, the endemic flora and some of South Africa’s most sought after wildlife.
JOB VACANCIES

- Head Chef – responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the annual plans for kitchen and stewarding operations befitting Sanbona.
- Chef De Partie – develop and provide authentic, innovative, and creative dishes to guests.
- Demi-Chef – supports the Lodge and Kitchen Management teams to develop and provide authentic, innovative, and creative dishes to guests.
- Senior Housekeeping Attendant – oversee the housekeeping team and to ensure cleanliness of the Lodge.
- Groundsman – responsible for the daily operations of general maintenance of gardens, cleaning, watering, separating recycling and pool maintenance.
- Driver – to ensure that guests are transported as required.
- Eco Educator – coordinates activities of the Eco-Explorers Club and provides a professional and interpretive conservation experience to our younger guests.
- Specialist Field Guide – provide a professional and interpretive safari experience to guests.
- Field Guide – to be part of a team of guides, providing a professional and interpretive safari experience to guests.
- Maintenance Assistant – ensures to the upkeep, maintenance and repairs of all lodges.
- Infrastructure Coordinator – responsible for assisting with all day-to-day management of infrastructure related activities.
- Conservation Administrator – support to the General Manager in maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Reserve Assistant – helps the Senior Nature Conservator and Nature Conservator to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of any conservation aspect.
- Sales Consultant – Cape Town based position, where you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.
