Centlec (SOC) Ltd is currently the license holder and distributes electricity to over 186, 858 customers in the area of Mangaung, Kopanong and Mohokare.
Centlec (SOC) Ltd was established as a municipal entity wholly owned by Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality.
Centlec was established in terms of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000 and the Companies Act, 1973 and it is obliged to comply with the provisions of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003.
The entity is governed by the Board of Directors, duly appointed by Mangaung Metropolitan Council from time to time and its day to day business is conducted under the stewardship of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Committee directly accountable to the Chief Executive Officer.
QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate and certificate in Computer Literacy
- Microsoft Office
Experience
- One to two (1 -2) years relevant experience
Skills and attributes
- Checks against standards and regulations;
- Understands and able to communicate the entity’s priorities;
- Knowledge of the issues impacting service delivery.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of computer literacy.
- Knowledge of Centlec policy and Health & Safety Act.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Receive and handle enquiries/ complaints related to power outages
- Receive power disruption or failure enquiries / complaints via the telephone/ radio.
- Capture the oomplaints on the Batho Pete system (Customer details, nature of complaint).
- Forward the complaint of the customer to the relevant personnel (Electrician / Trade worker) for investigation.
- Capture information from Electrician / Trade worker onwhatwasdonetoresoNetheprobem.
- Compile statistics on power disruptions for the month / annually reports and make graphical representation of the statistics.
- Receive telephonic instructions for the switching on and off of consumers.
- Channel instructions for the switching on and off of consumers to the relevant Electrician / Trade worker on standby.
- Receive feedback from Electrician / Trade worker on standby and write / capture the information
