South African National Parks (SANParks) invites suitablly qualified candidates to submit applications for the vacancy: General Worker.

Location: Kruger National Park/Sirheni Bushveld Camp
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for a General Worker position at Sirheni Bush Camp under the Nxanatseni Region of the Kruger National Park.
The incumbent will be eporting to the Camp Supervisor
ABOUT SANParks
South African National Parks (SANParks) was established in terms of the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003 (Act No 57 of 2003).
The primary mandate of SANParks is to oversee the conservation of South Africa’s biodiversity, landscapes, and associated heritage assets through a system of national parks.
It also must ensure that South Africans participate and get involved in biodiversity initiatives and that all its operations have a synergistic existence with neighbouring communities for their educational and socioeconomic benefit.
One of the strategic directions of SANParks is growing community support, providing access, benefit-sharing and benefiting local communities, thus the call for applications for the bursary opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Physically good health
- The incumbent must have knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
- Ability to listen and objectively understand verbally conveyed message
- Knowledge of working in the national park
- Good knowledge of tools, handling, and aftercare
- Valid code 10 (C1) Driver’s license with PDP
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing semi-skilled tasks that will include cleaning in the camp.
- Perform cleaning duties including ablution facilities and surrounding areas.
- Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Assist with driving duties when required by Supervisor.
- Assisting with other ad hoc tasks as required by Supervisor / Management.
